Warning: Flood Zone

December didn't start out so well. This is what we came home to Friday, December 4th.

We arrived home just in time to watch our ceiling collapse.
Oh JOY!

The only thing missing from this picture is the waterfall that was pouring over our fridge. A valve in our upstairs bathroom was either faulty or froze.

What a difference 11 days can make! This is what our kitchen looks like today!!! We've still got insulation repairs, and a lot of cleaning... but LOOK! No gaping hole or piles of insulation.

Now, back to Christmas!

Wow!! That's awful. You sound pretty calm about it, though I'm sure the calm has come after the storm.

That just made me sick to see your new ceiling on the floor. I'm amazed that you got everything fixed so quickly and it looked pretty clean to me. You didn't have anything else to do right?

Kristen showed me what happened to your ceiling. I'm afraid I would have had a good crying session and then gone for a long drive. It looks good as new again, and I hope the pipe or valve is forever repaired.

Holy moly. Wow, you only hear about stuff like that. I glad no one was home in the kitchen when that happened. Yikes!!! At least it's all over. How is Brigham doing? He is getting so big already. Time flies much toooooo quickly when you have kids. I hate it.

Goodness, that must have been your worst nightmare. Looks like you took care of it handily though and survived the Christmas season as well. Hopefully your new year will be free of such calamaties. Your baby is sure cute and growing so big!
